Art Deco Miami. I spent a day stopover in Miami on my way to Colombia. I stayed on South Beach and was pleasantly surprised. It’s a very safe, wealthy area, with great eating options and a fantastic beach. The airport is easily reachable by public transport and there are cool art deco buildings everywhere. The only drawback was the extreme cost of accommodation in high season, which made even London seem cheap. I managed to find an affordable room via Air BnB in a really nice neighbourhood walking distance to restaurants and cafes.
